Happy 2nd Birthday to Josiah Lyons!!!

 Happy Birthday to little Josiah boy!!  He is turning the big 2 today!  From his first days in the little crib, Josiah has been such a sweet contented little guy.  Granted we are starting to see some tantrum and attitude hitting the 2s here.  Josiah loves to try to help clean and use the broom where he can.  He loves to follow along with whatever is happening and really is the cuddliest little boy- STILL.  He loves to sit and cuddle on my lap and loves to read books.  Josiah loves his milk bottle- still- yes, he still drinks a bottle- third child.  He drinks more milk than our other children combined- loves the stuff.  And he loves his pacifier and Dee-dee (his blue blanket).  Lately, Lydia has been pretending that Josiah is her kitty and Josiah crawls around and says "meow" and "bye-bye."  Lydia also has gotten into trying to change his diaper and lays him down on the couch to put him to bed.  Josiah loves to give hugs and kisses now.  He is definitely a Mama's boy as he still cries

when I leave him in the nursery.  Happy Birthday to our sweet little Josiah boy!

Good Help...

Can be hard to find- the kids have been trying to help in our weekly cleaning times.

This Week...

This week has been like traveling to Florida in winter without going anywhere- it has been very refreshing!  A friend brought me these tulips to remind me of spring!

Happy 4th Birthday Lydia!

 Our little Lydie turned 4 on Saturday!  She has grown so much in these last 4 years.  For her birthday this year, we had an ocean theme birthday for both Jeremiah and Lydia and Josiah too.  We then celebrated at night with a party at the Lyons' home. 

We are so thankful for Lydia.  Lydia at 4 loves to wear dresses and anything sparkly and pretty!  She loves to play dress up and is really into princesses right now and horses!  Lydia is a good little Mommy and loves to take of her baby dolls, feeding them and putting them to bed.  She often asks me, "How old will I be when I am a mommy and when I get big, will you still be a Mommy."  Her latest thing is pretending like Josiah is her kitty and he follows her around and she puts him to bed.  Josiah even goes "meow" and then says "bye-bye."  Lydia has grown a lot in her coloring and helpfulness to Mommy this year.  She loves her ballet class and doing her moves of what she has learned.  Lydia also loves her cousin and few little friends.  She is very lovely and tells us and her little cousin she loves them a lot!  We are thankful to watch you grow Lydie Lou!

Happy Wednesday!

We are in recovery mode over here after Jeremiah and Lydia's ocean birthday party on Saturday.  More to come about that later- I have to admit I was wiped out after all the party festivities this weekend.  I think I am still recovering.  So more to come shortly.

Penguin walk...

Every year, we love doing the penguin walk at the zoo in February.  We read a few books on penguins, made penguin crafts and listened to Mr. Popper's Penguins on audio book and had fun watching the parade of real penguins at the zoo!

Family Game Night...

 Basket ball hoop night shooting and nerf gun bull's-eye game.  Josiah is obsessed with balls- he loves his little basketball hoop.

Hibernation...

 Last week was hibernation week.  We found all the animals that could hibernate and Jeremiah made a tent for them. 

 The sun has so graciously returned this month- Praise the Lord- and we have just gone outside to eat lunch on our front porch and since it was hibernation week- we took a hike to see if we could find any animal tracks and signs of animals hibernating.  Josiah just follows his big brother in whatever he does- stick, much, hole and all.

Jeremiah is a helper

We are working across the hall and getting it ready to spread out a little bit.  We are going to put a whole in the wall and expand our little living space hopefully before the end of May when the baby comes.  Jeremiah has been eager to help with Daddy when he works on the apartment at night.  It is a busy season especially for Michael- he has a lot to balance and we are praying the Lord gives us strength to get it all done. 

Happy 6th Birthday Jeremiah!

 Happy 6th Birthday to this fun loving boy!  Hard to believe you were this little not too long ago!  Jeremiah woke up at 6:15am singing "Happy Birthday to me," and sang it all day!  He celebrated the day with going out to breakfast with daddy and Mr. S- a kind friend from church who always brings him little animals every Sunday!  We then did some school and went to Ikea for a free kids lunch and shopping and story time fun and met some friends there.  In the evening, we opened presents and decorated our "bear" cupcakes for our co-op class on Wednesday on hibernation.  Jeremiah is a very energetic bubbly 6 year old.  Right now he loves to do anything math and with numbers and loves to be outside (like his Mama) and play in the dirt and go on hikes.  He has become very helpful around the house this year and is for the most part quick to help when he can.  He loves people and just loves to talk and meet anyone and talk their ear off!  He is currently in training for dish washing duty as we have no dishwasher and will soon add another little one to the den- Mommy will appreciate his help.
