Happy 3 birthday to Joel

 Charles birthday started out with pancakes for breakfast and ended with pizza for dinner. Enjoy the day trying to fish on a pond and got to run around in the Great outdoors and enjoy some time with  cousins.

 My dear friend got married in the quarantine and I have not seen in her in months since she got married.  It was so good to make the two hour drive to see her little home.  We went for a walk in a nice nature preserve today after days of rain.

Lydie Lou

Lydia fell off her bike last week and ended up at the ER with stitches in her head and chin.  She was a brave girl.  It hurtAhurt though.  Mommy almost passed out but hung in there.  We decided Daddy should go to the hospital with her.  A friend brought her a milkshake and Grandma brought some fun quiet time activities. 

Birthday hike

A week ago after my birthday, we went on a Day hike about an hour and a half away into the rural country parts of Ohio. We found a hike that was about five miles long to buzzardroost rock in the Edges of Appalachia hiking area.  Jeremiah brought home crayfish from the creek and the kids enjoyed having lunch on the hike. Little Joel was a trooper and made it all the way up and back and didn't even take a nap on the way home.

Birthday Blessings...38

Last week, I turned 38.  Despite the cloudy, rainy day, the Lord lifted my gaze to Him.  These last two months, the Lord has been showing me a lot of areas that I feel weak and need the grace of God to help me!  I know this has been a hard season for many of us.  We are all struggling differently and God is making us more like Him.

I and a few of my kids struggle with isolation.  We love reaching out to people and visiting and hospitality.  We have been praying that God would give us new and creative ways to reach out to others.

So...on my birthday, a friend dropped off lunch and another friend dinner.  Michael worked hard to do a video of birthday blessings which was neat!  He worked so hard on it!  I received some beautiful flowers from a neighbor and my kids made sweet birthday coupons.  The kids were so excited and encouraging this year!  Thankful for another year and I know God will continue to teach me more this new year!
