Thanksgiving 2020- What a year we are going through! It is definitely a year to reflect on God's goodness and faithfulness despite all the challenges and disappointments. After much struggle and sadness leading up to the day, we were so thankful for how God ordered this day.
We began our day with turkey pancakes sharing our thankfulness.
Mommy then brought a complete breakfast to a friend struggling with cancer this year. Michael led a zoom prayer meeting and devotion for our church. We read Psalm 23 and prayed the psalm as a church body together. We then took our annual walk/hike in Mt. Airy Forest. It ended up being a slow walk for me but so refreshing to be in God's great Creation!
The kids and I then delivered our Thankful bags to our neighbors, masked style this year. This has been a great way to connect with neighbors and let them know we love them- they were all home this Thanksgiving.
We made a whole turkey dinner and took it over to Michael's parents who preferred to eat outside. It spritzed and was overcast but at least not too cold. It was good to bless them with a meal.
On the way home, we dropped off a few goody bags and prayed with an elderly couple really struggling this Thanksgiving. It was a great day of ministry which we are thankful for. We got home and zoomed with my parents and siblings and headed the kids to bed. Definitely a memorable holiday! After days of cooking and preparing, this Mama is tired and worn out.
Only a few weeks left until we meet the little babe.
