Iceberg Lake...

On our Montana trip, we did a few amazing hikes- this one was to a 10 mile trip to Iceberg Lake!  The views were amazing and the water of the lake so cold with icebergs in the water in the middle of August!  And there were some crazy kids trying to swim to the icebergs but it was COLD!  Anne highly recommended this hike and it was worth it!

On a side note, I have to laugh- we are getting trees taken down outside and it started raining and Jeremiah is begging me to invite the workers to come inside.  He is just making me laugh.  We brought them lemonade and now we may have 10 drenched Mexican workers inside our little apartment.  The boy knows no stranger.

Drive to Glacier!

I will attempt to highlight a few things from our trip over the next few days.  First, one of our favorite parts was the Huckleberry shakes.  We stopped a few times along the road to drive these yummy treats.  We got a little lost on our way up to Glacier- our "scenic route" slowly became a bit more scenic and a bit long too.  At lease we saw some big horn sheep along the road!

We could not have done this trip without our friends from Seminary Michael and Anne Marrs.
They were so hospitable, feeding us and caring for us and showing us around their town, their church and they only live 15 minutes from Glacier!  It was so refreshing to spend time with them.

Montana Trip...

We made it back from our 10th Anniversary Trip to the Wild West!  To say the least, it was REFRESHING to be the two of us and to be out in God's Country- refreshed in His beautiful creation and away from city life and noise.  The humidity was gone and the cool breeze at night was refreshing for our souls.  More to come on our actual trip.

Meanwhile, while we were in Montana, Josiah learned to walk and he is tottling away- walking to Jeremiah, to Lydia and to me.  He is very proud of himself.  Though I misse dthe kids a lot, reentry has been rough the past few days as the kids seem extra needy from all the fun outings and adventures they went on with grandparents!
