Random Pics From Our Days And Weeks...

These are random pics from the last few weeks... Jeremiah playing with Lydia- him falling asleep with all his animals lined up beside him. Pool time with Aunt Laura and Jonathan and Anna- a few weeks ago. Aunt Becky coming over to read to us and spend time with us. And then Lydia learning how to sit up as she got closer to 7 months and then Jeremiah putting his animals in a tree- which is my flower pot- oh well, what 2 year olds do to have fun!

8 Years Together!

Today we are celebrating 8 years of marriage together! I am so thankful that throughout our dating process, Michael stuck with me through many highs and lows and so thankful he continues to stick with me through 8 years of marriage! The Lord has truly blessed me indeed! The journey is not always smooth but it is a joyous journey and we praise God for where He has brought us these last years! As we think back on our wedding day, I think of all that God has taught us about handling conflict and what it means to truly love- not what the world defines as love- a love that does not always make us happy but holy! I am starting to read the book- When Sinners Say I Do- by Dave Harvey- and it has been challenging me on the importance of realizing my husband is a sinner and that I too am a sinner. I must see my own sin to grow in holiness and to truly love this other person! And I must acknowledge that my spouse sins and is not perfect. Only God can grow and change us both to be more like Him! Happy 8 years of marriage Michael! So glad to be able to follow you as you follow Christ!

Cousin Time!

We have had lots of time with Cousins- here is a pic of the girls together recently. And the other week- we babysat Jonathan and had lots of fun. The boys have lots of fun together! They can get into a lot of trouble together too! :)

Sitting Up

Lydie has been slowly working on sitting up and I think at almost 7 months- we think she has finally got it!

Zoo Trip!

 Our Thurs. Morning Moms group has been meeting thru the summer and we have been doing fun activities- like last week we went to the zoo!

Misc Friday

A few weeks ago- our wonderful Administrator at our church hosted a tea for Grandma Renner to honor her years of service volunteering at church!  Another reason we loved Grandma Renner- she gives of her time and is truly a servant! She says she has been replaced by machines- like the copier but no machine can replace that smile and servant's heart. 

 It has been a bit warm lately and we have been enjoying brief outings to get ice cream- trying out the local places here- our favorite this summer "Zip Dip".

And yes, this is my crazy messy boy- he puts himself into everything he does 100 percent even with the  mess.  Jeremiah's latest thing- "It's Play Time!"  And he sure does love running and jumping as much as he can as well as lining up his trucks. 

 

A few days ago, my hubby sent me this very encouraging reminder and it did just give me some encouragement on allowing time to breathe in my time and meditate on God's Word- from DGM website.  Michael is teaching an Intro to the OT- Pentateuch and will do Genesis this Sunday so I am trying my best to read the book by Sunday.  It is long- 50 chapters but well worth the read!

Lydia- 6 Months Old!

Lydia is 6 months old! At 6 months old- she is loving her cereal and other baby food. She really loves peaches so far! She is such a better eater than Jeremiah! When I started feeding her baby food, I dropped her to 5 feedings a day. She is still taking mostly 3 naps a day- sometimes 2. Lydia is now mostly rooming with her brother- except when she has a few nights of waking us all up- then she gets moved to the Living Room. Lydia is beginning to sit up- but she can still topple over pretty quickly. She loves her bath- kicking and splashing in the tub. She has grown to love her little giraffe and loves to chew on its legs. Lydia loves the Jumperoo this month and is enjoying jumping away like her brother did! She often rolls to her side and her tummy to sleep, of course, with her pacifier in her mouth. She has had some struggle since taking baby cereal with her pooping and often screams when she is going- poor girl- I think the solid foods have affected her more than I remember them affecting Jeremiah. Lydia is a sweet and happy and smiley little girl! She is beginning to recognize us more and looks a little concerned when someone else is holding her. And she still looks up at you with those bold big eyes. We are realizing she could be dramatic as if she falls over from her sitting position- she busts into big crocodile tears and has trouble getting over the fall. We love you little Lydie!

Reading Time

We love reading to our kids. Jeremiah has lately enjoyed reading his Big Picture Bible Story Book with Daddy each night and then they read a passage from the real Bible. He loves sitting next to Daddy pretending to read his big Bible- it is so cute. I hope he always enjoys reading God's Word this much.
