Happy 12th Anniversary...

Yesterday was our 12th anniversary!  It was a day of special memories of the last 12 years and working through in my heart some areas that I see the Lord stripping me and growing me.  A sweet friend from church and her daughter watched our kids.  We dropped them off for a choir program at church at 4pm and dropped off Josiah with our friends and headed down to a restaurant on the river. After a few children "crises," we enjoyed some time away and talking together.
Sweet hubby got me beautiful roses and a sweet note.
Here's to many more crazy dates to come.

Monday Musings...

We have been trying to do some canning and freezing of corn.  Lots of helpers this year.

We read the book- Henry the Castaway, one of the Five in a Row books in volume 3, and one evening made a map and followed it to find our way through our journeys.  The kids loved acting out the story in the woods.
Lydia and cousin Anna had a tea party one Saturday while the boys went with Grandpa to a small airport to view the airplanes.  Here's to the start of a new week.  Happy Monday!

Biking Mackinac Island...

We enjoyed so much biking around Mackinac Island when we were on our vacation last month.  Jeremiah overcame his fear and biked with Daddy and I pulled two kids behind me.  It was quite the work out.  Joel- he stayed behind with Pop-pop and Mom-mom for a little bit.

A new door

We have a new door in our hallway!  We can now look from one bathroom to the other and Joel has his room across the hall.  We are so thankful for this added space!

Reds Game...

The Library gave us tickets this year for reading to the Reds game!  This was our first time going all as a family!

Soccer, soccer...

Jeremiah is starting soccer.  He loves it so far but really has no experience playing yet.  We chose to have him play through the YMCA because we had a membership for the summer and saved us money, plus the team he is on only plays and practices Saturday morning.  We want to be so careful what we have our children in so that we are not running crazy to all kinds of activities.  We want to assess everything we decide to do with whether it will work with our family culture.  Here comes #2,  working on skills and LOTS of energy!
