Easter Day

On Easter, we woke up before dawn and wen to church to do our first sunrise service!  It was beautiful!  The air was cool and crisp and the sky clear.  We gathered on the beautiful grounds of the church property to sing and worship.  

We then went home and had some breakfast before Easter Sunday worship service.  We also let the kids find their Easter baskets.  We had a wonderful resurrection service at church.  We then enjoyed the beautiful day by taking a hike closeby and having dinner with Michael's parents.  It was the first time in awhile that we saw Michael's grandma Gigi since Twin Towers has been locked down.  We ended the day with caroling to an older couple near us.  We started our day singing Christ the Lord is Risen Today and ended the day as the sun set.  It was a glorious Easter!  Christ is Risen!  He is Risen indeed!

 

Good Friday

 

Good Friday dinner in the dark .  This year we ate dinner in the dark and listened to The Jesus Storybook Bible on Jesus final day.   We blew out the candles when Jesus died and listened to Andrew Peterson's song- Last Words.  

We also took a walk in a beautiful garden with some friends and enjoyed a solemn and contemplative Good Friday service.
