Summer Reading...

Book recommendations so far this summer!  Jeremiah and I just finished this book that a friend had told me about.  We really enjoyed reading it and I was in tears by the end- such a great story for boys about adventure and also sacrifice!  I love this book also because I remember watching the movie growing up.  Disney has a movie version called "Third Man on the Mountain."  I remember loving this movie and told Jeremiah we would have a night where we could watch it together.

I am in cleaning and organizing mode which his rather hard with 4 little ones in tow.  I am working on the school room and also toys and kids rooms and closets- a very daunting task!  So today while I was organizing, I finished listening to Uncle Tom's Cabin!  Wow- what an inspirational book.  I am trying to go back to old classics and I can't believe I never read that book before.  So I am slowly trying to read some good literature.

Gospel Coalition

This month I enjoyed going to Women's Gospel Coalition.  The best part was spending time worshiping with some sweet friends.  I was very thankful for the intentional time together- girls I had not seen in a long time.  And we got to worship with lovely ladies from ECC as well.

Michael's graduation!

On June 1, Michael graduated!  After 8 years, he graduated earlier than we thought!  This was a big day for us!  So excited for how the Lord has carried us through these 8 years.  It was a big day of celebration!

Joel is 1 year old!

Joel is 1 year old!  A month ago we had a birthday blessing for him with some sweet friends in the picnic grove at church.  The little boy is finally moving by scooting, not crawling.  I don't know what is wrong with all my kids- they do not crawl, they usually choose another method like scooting.  He loves to say "ball," and loves finding balls.  He loves being with his siblings and loves to move around and find things now.  He has blond and curly hair and now has a few teeth coming in.  We love little Joeley.
