Saturday we headed to Zion. This was one of our favorite parks so far. It was VERY busy so we modified our plan. We drove to the Visitor Center and God provided a parking spot. We hiked the Watchman Trail to a beautiful overlook. Then we played in the creek. We then drove East through the one mile tunnel. We did the Overlook Trail hike to a beautiful view of Zion canyon. The boys climbed the rocks, lots of rocks. Joel was the great lizard catcher again. Animal finds: We saw a diamondback rattlesnake and some bighorn sheep on the mountains.

Day 7- Page, AZ and Lake Powell
Friday we had a rest day and stayed in Big Water, Utah near Page. Rest day means we were not driving to another site. We did the Toadstool Trail hike in the morning.
This was such a fun hike for kids. We then headed to see the Dam as well as swim in Lake Powell. We also saw Horseshoe Bend. It was a beautiful area. We tried to do a cheaper dinner at Subway and got groceries at Walmart.

Day 6- The Grand Canyon
May 22- Today was Michael's birthday and today we drove from Flagstaff to the South Rim. We took the tour buses to hop on to Bright Angel Trail. We hiked down to the mile and a half mark outhouse then made the trek back up. We saw some elk and drove the road to Desert Tower. Joel had a blast catching all the canyon lizards. What a fun day celebrating God's creation. Then we took the desert road through the painted desert up through Page Arizona. We had dinner for Michael's birthday at a GF place, Grand Canyon Brewery. Then we settled in our Air B and B in Big Water Utah, 20 minutes from Page. Last night in our hotel we met a neat Christian lady at the pool who was such a blessing to our family. It is so neat to see the Body of Christ around the nation.
Day 5- Sedona and Montezuma Castle
Yesterday, we went to see Aunt Linda's condo. She gave us a whole tour of Royal Oaks. The kids loved Ginger. Then we drove to Sedona and stopped to see Montezuma's Castle in a cliff. We loved Sedona and all the beautiful rocks. The cacti are in bloom which is beautiful. We stopped at a river and let the kids climb on the rocks. It was a great drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff. We had dinner at the Fat Olive and Italian pizza place.
