Fire Truck Museum

Saturday morning, Michael took Jeremiah to the Fire Truck Museum downtown.  He had a lot of fun- learned the essentials of what to do in a fire- stop, drop and roll.  And this was not planned- but we are watching the movie Planes- Fire and Rescue which he loves- a little bit each night as Daddy has been busy on Monday and Tuesday this week.  :)
Needless to say while Jeremiah was at the museum with Daddy- Josiah literally decided to scream from 7am to 12pm.  It was a stressful morning- later that day- Lydia threw up and the next day developed a cough and fever.  Some weeks- it seems like the chaos never ends. :)
Thankful for the Lord's grace and mercy for each day!

Jeremiah love sliding down the fire pole- fireman in training!

My sister and brother came for Easter this year which I know was a few weeks away.  We had a great time visiting with them and having cousin time!  The only thing we were missing was my parents.

Josiah- 1 month

Jeremiah- 4 years

Lydia- 2 years

Christopher- 10 months, Jeremiah- 4 years, Lydia- 2 years

Searching for the Easter baskets in the morning- Jeremiah & Lydia were excited!

This little boy...

So Josiah is hitting a bit of a fussy stage starting at 6 weeks.  I will still say he is a sweet boy though.  He has been sleeping pretty well through the night the last 4 nights and though I know this  might not continue- it has been a great blessing.  When the little guy wakes up at 7am- he just lays there with his pacy- not even really screaming.  I don't remember the other two doing that.

Reds Opening Day!!

Reds Opening Day was the Monday after Easter and this year- Jeremiah went with Daddy to the parade downtown.  It was 2 1/2 hours long.  Jeremiah had fun but got a little bored after a little while.  He had lots of fun though!  We did our annual Skyline dinner on Reds Opening Night and watched the game!
In other happenings, Gigi ( Michael's grandmother ) went into the hospital a week ago and has since been having TIAs- mini-strokes.  She comes out of them and is able to talk and move but it has been scary.  We have been down visiting her and Michael was down with his mom a lot this weekend as his Dad is out of town and his Mom has been by herself.  Thankfully- she was moved back to her nursing home and seems to be in great spirits!  Even in these challenges, Gigi is amazing!  She tells us she is ready to die and continues to think about others even during her "episodes"- what a model and woman of faith!  I admire that lady so much!

A Girl And Her Cowie...

Lydia is so hard to get pictures of these days- she rarely looks at the camera so when I get this girl laughing- I have to get a picture.  Lydie thinks it is so funny to put a hat on cowie and strap him in Josiah's car seat.  Lydie and her cowie!

Josiah Patrick- 1 Month!

Josiah continues to be our sweet little guy!  For the most part he is pretty mellow and goes with the flow.  He starting to smile which is very sweet for a tired Mama.  He is a lot more alert and loves to watch what is going on.  He usually is very ready to go to his bed when I put him down at 10pm to sleep.  The kids call him Baby Siah and we are so thankful for him.

Zoo Blooms..

So we have been frequenting the zoo this week to catch the zoo tulip blooms while they are at their peak!  We love the beautiful display of flowers!  And it is fun to see the animals too!

Nursing Josiah and while we waited for the boys in the bug house- Lydia running around the tree.

Lydia's favorite animal is the Rhino- so here is Daddy, Lydia and the Rhino. :)

Happy Spring!!

5 Weeks

Little guy had his 5 week checkup- 1 month check up today.  He is gaining for his size like a champ- already at 8 lb. 7oz that is 2  lb. more than what he weighed when he was born- definitely my best eater and gainer so far.  I was very thankful.  Way to go little guy!

Holy Week...

We are thankful it is Holy Week.  We are celebrating and anticipating but keeping it simple- especially as sleep deprivation has set in and I feel in a fog most of these days.
We planted our resurrection garden and hope to put Jesus on the cross and in the tomb on Good Friday.  And we are putting our symbols up on our road to the cross.
We have also been going through the Resurrection eggs and hiding one a day at lunch time.
Our verse we have been memorizing maybe for 3 weeks- Psalm 95:3- "The Lord is a great God and a great king above all gods."
And we did manage to dye Easter eggs yesterday as Daddy had a meeting at night with only one spill of one of the dyes.

And if this guy cooperates and sleeps- we are able to do some of these activities.

Pansies and Penn Station

There have been so many blessings come our way over this last month- one week a friend brought me a Penn Station sub for lunch which was a huge treat- I love their subs!  Another evening, a friend and I went out for dinner and she showed up at my door with these pansies- I had actually that week been praying and hoping for some pansies like this- God is good giving us little gifts we don't deserve.

And then there are these 3 munchkins.  Michael preached on Palm Sunday at our church- so I am trying to get more experienced and quicker at getting all 3 of these ones ready for church and out the door on time.  We were planning on not making it for Sunday School- but after Jeremiah requested to go to SS- we were determined to get there and we made it for "most" of it.  :)  Pretty good for this stage right now. :)  Sitting in church with 3 little ones- that was another story.  Thankfully Aunt Becky came to the rescue to help me out. :)  So thankful for people we can ask for help even it is when we are walking in the doors of the church.
